Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kochi
Arrive Kochi, meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Overnight: hotel in Kochi.
Day 2: Kochi-Munnar Drive (145km)
After breakfast drive to Munnar. Drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar, surrounded by lush green tea estates. This picturesque hill station boosts of exotic flora and fauna. On arrival check into hotel.
Overnight: hotel in Munnar.
Day 3: In Munnar
After breakfast, visit Eravikulam Park where now the largest known population of Tahrs (species of wild goat) exists. After that, visit Tea Museum followed by a tea plantation visit. The museum is set up at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar. Visitors to the museum can satiate their curiosity on various stages of tea processing, and also learn a thing or two about the production of black tea.

Day 4: Munnar-Thekkady Drive (110km)
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, one of the best-known wild life centres in India and picturesque with unending chains of hills and spice-scented plantations.

Day 5: In Thekkady
In the morning, after breakfast visit The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which gives a unique experience of beholding wildlife at close quarters in natural habitat from the safety of a boat ride at lake Periyar. Later in the afternoon a tour through the spice plantations. This trip covers spice plantations such as cardamom, pepper, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, Ayurvedic herbs etc.

Day 6: Thekkady-Kovalam Drive (190km)
After breakfast, drive to Kovalam that constitutes three crescent-shaped beaches, separated by rocky outcroppings. Backed by the palm-covered steep headlands, the beaches are lined with a host of shops that offer all kinds of goods and services, creating a resort-like atmosphere. Evening relax at Beach.

Day 7: In Kovalam
Full day relax and enjoy at beach site.

Day 8: Kovalam-Alleppey Drive (170km)
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey. On arrival check into houseboat. Overnight Houseboat Cruise to Kumarakom. This cruise is designed to give one a fascinating insight into the life of Keralan Backwater Villages.

Day 9: Alleppey-Kochi Drive (63km)
After breakfast, Disembark from houseboat and drive to Kochi. On arrival transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, explore the sites of Cochin. Visit Asia’s best preserved Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the oldest European Church in India the St. Francis Church where Vasco Da Gama was originally buried. Later, a leisurely walk through the Fort Cochin area which gives you a close look at the operation of the huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets introduced by Chinese traders which is still used in Keralian backwaters as a traditional way of fishing.

Day 10: Departure
Transfer to airport for onward journey.
